Dr. Sirney is a Global Emergency Medicine Research Fellow at Weill Cornell Medicine. His research centers on foresight studies, using novel human-focused qualitative techniques to uncover threats and opportunities within global health systems. He works clinically in the Emergency Department at WCM as a physician and instructor. He had a wide range of experiences prior to pursuing medicine, including documentary film, journalism, anthropology and EMS. He attended James Madison University for undergraduate (BS anthropology, 2007; BA, media arts and design, 2007) and AT Still University for medical school (DO, 2020). He completed residency in emergency medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (2023). He is passionate about travel, hiking, camping and trail running, and when not on an adventure somewhere can be found roving around Brooklyn eating good vegetarian food and playing all sorts of tabletop strategy games.
