Disaster Response Sciences

With support from the prestigious Aga Khan University, one of Pakistan's foremost medical institutions, Dr. Razzak's team is actively assisting all tiers of the country's healthcare system in effectively responding to medical emergencies arising from natural disasters. Through collaborations with community workers, physicians, nurses, and administrative teams, Dr. Razzak’s lab is focusing on providing training and education surrounding disaster relief protocols. Further, our team is also working on diligently establishing and refining digital systems to efficiently collect patient data in order to significantly enhance patient trauma outcomes. In all, our efforts to improve trauma and disaster outcomes revolve around collaborative teaching and education initiatives, coupled with active, on-the ground efforts with leading policymakers, physician-scientists, and institutions.
